Planned, see https://github.com/vatesfr/xo-web/issues/826
The backend is ready, but it’s more a UI challenge now.
we create new VM's in this way:
UUID=`xe vm-install template=mytemplate new-name-label=newvm`
xe vm-param-set uuid=$UUID xenstore-data:vm-data/ip=192.168.1.20
xe vm-param-set uuid=$UUID xenstore-data:vm-data/gw=192.168.1.254
xe vm-param-set uuid=$UUID xenstore-data:vm-data/nm=255.255.255.0
xe vm-start uuid=$UUID
Displaying and modifing this values with GUI would be nice5 votes
XenStore is a mess but still, it’s planned
Add ability to create and modify roles. IE, I need operators be able to shutdown or restart VMs, but not allow them to create new VMs.3 votes
This is already planned, see https://github.com/vatesfr/xo-web/issues/263
I don't know whether this would be considered within XO's intended scope, but I frequently create custom "fully populated" templates from complete VMs and convert them to templates but often need to revert to a regular VM to apply OS updates and make configuration changes.
I haven't figured out any suggestions on how that could be neatly integrated into the GUI.0 votes
Good idea, the new UI will provide an interface for templates.
